Attendance:
Our attendance has been excellent thanks to the dedication of parents and students. There is a school-wide competition that delivers a trophy to the class in each grade level with the best attendance percentage for the week. We have won 2 of the 3 weeks so far! Students are excited to host the trophy. Behavior: Students in 208 are earning many PAWS for their hallway transitions, for working hard, and being helpful. We got a "Paw Party" after earning our first 10 on the 8th day of school. Since I don't give 208 any Paws, I am excited to see other teachers and staff congratulate the class and individuals. I'm proud of them too. We have now reached our new goal and received 28 total Paws in 28 days! To celebrate, we are coming to school in Pajamas on Wednesday, October 18th. They may bring pajamas, comfy clothes, snuggies, slippers, and stuffed animals. We will still work hard, but in style. *Students have been struggling with chattiness in Specials Classes, and we are working on it each day. If you want, encourage your child to do as well in specials as they do in class. Grades: I am very proud of students so far! They are working hard and I would like for us to keep encouraging them to keep the momentum going! Partnerships/Field Trips: We are partnering with "Barrel of Monkeys" for this unit. They will be coming in on Thursdays staring 10/19 to work on writing. In the end of the program, they will perform a creation from student work. We are going to see an Opera on Thursday, November 9th in the morning. More information will follow as I receive it. If you are willing to chaperone, please email me at [email protected]. I need 2 parent volunteers.
